Karim is a registered dietitian with a Masters in Human Nutrition from Cal State Northridge. He currently works with low-income seniors in Downtown LA’s Skid Row area, helping them manage chronic diseases to stay healthy and independent as long as possible. Karim has also worked as a public health research assistant for a clinical NGO that serves the migrant population on the Thai-Myanmar Border.
Karim’s outpatient and personal training experience has made him adept at meeting clients where they are at, and navigating attainable goals together. Karim believes that all foods fit in a healthy diet, and uses mindful eating and other evidenced based guiding principles to inform his care. Karim’s hope is that each client at PTT will leave with an improved relationship with food.
